Eazy Digital, a Thailand-based insurtech startup, has raised US$850,000 in an oversubscribed seed funding round, strengthening its mission to modernize insurance operations across Southeast Asia. The round was led by Wavemaker Partners, with participation from Seedstars International Ventures, Wing Vasiksiri, and Sasin Bangkok Venture Club.
Building Digital Infrastructure for Insurance Companies
Founded by insurance industry veterans Harprem Doowa and Maethavee Sukul, Eazy Digital provides software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms for insurance companies, enabling them to digitize and manage key aspects of their business. The platform supports agent management, operations, customer referrals, and engagement, helping insurers improve efficiency and distribution performance.
Eazy Digital focuses on small- and medium-sized insurance companies that often lack the internal resources to fully digitize their processes. By offering a scalable digital platform, the company helps insurers modernize workflows, optimize distribution, and remain competitive in a rapidly evolving insurtech landscape.
Founders with Deep Insurance and Technology Expertise
Co-founder and CEO Harprem Doowa previously served as co-founder and CEO of Frank Insurance, a digital insurance broker in Thailand that was later acquired by bolttech. Following the acquisition, Doowa held the role of Chief Disruption Officer and Head of Insurtech Exchange at bolttech for two years. Earlier in his career, he also co-founded e-commerce startup Moxy/Orami, which received backing from investors including Eduardo Saverin, Sini Mars, Ardent Capital, Gobi Partners, and Velos Partners.
“The insurance industry is still in its early stages of digitization,” said Doowa. “While many insurtech startups focus on digital distribution, embedded insurance, or direct-to-consumer models, insurance companies themselves are often left to solve digitization challenges on their own.”
Driving Digital Transformation Across the Insurance Ecosystem
Maethavee Sukul, Eazy Digital’s Head of Operations, brings extensive operational experience from Frank, bolttech, and Benix. She began her career as a management trainee at AIG after completing her degree in actuarial science and machine learning. Sukul is currently pursuing a master’s degree focused on applying artificial intelligence and machine learning to analyze insurance consumers’ driving behavior.
“Our goal is to provide a platform that enables insurance companies of all sizes to digitize and streamline their operations,” Sukul said. “By lowering barriers to technology adoption, we aim to increase competition and create more opportunities for smaller players in the insurance market.”
